WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Reporting to the Director of APLA Sport Analytics, you’ll be a key member of the Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Analytics team delivering action oriented, quantitative insights in support of the Sport Offense.

In this role, you will be embedded into the Nike Brand Sport squads working closely with Sport GMs, Strategy, Merchandising, Planning, and Brand to inform both long term strategies and seasonal plans.

You are curious to uncover the consumer nuances across our diverse Asia Pacific Latin America geography.  You enjoy working with analytics teammates and business stakeholders to identify key business questions and deliver data-driven insights to ensure Nike is staying ahead of the game in a rapidly changing consumer and retail landscape.

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, economics, consumer insights, business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • 5+ years in insights and analytics. Experience in both retail data and survey data preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner on cross-functional teams supporting strategy across an organization, including stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Initiative to independently identify and propose analytics/insights solutions to address key business questions.
  • Ability to translate industry, competitive and consumer trends into business impact and to transform complex data into concise and compelling narratives that drive action.
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in querying relational databases with SQL, and in exploring, analyzing, and visualizing data using business intelligence tools such as Tableau. Willingness to learn new technical skills as new tools emerge.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • You will analyze and represent industry, competitive, and consumer data across our diverse geography influencing key decisions and strategies.
  • Tap into multiple sources of insights (e.g. competitive landscape, market size and growth, retail KPIs, business performance trends, google search trends, sports participation, survey data etc.) to provide well-rounded, data-based perspectives.
  • Act as an ongoing thought partner and strategic advisor to stakeholders to ensure insights are being interpreted and effectively applied.
  • Balance trade-offs between speed, cost and impact in developing methodologies to address business questions.
  • Craft presentations and reports that distill complex analyses into compelling narratives for stakeholders, across various levels of leadership.
